The open safari vehicle can hold a maximum of 10 guests – even infants need their own seat – and by law we are not allowed to add any more people after the 10. The vehicle has a roof and sides that come up to an adult’s shoulders when sitting. People should remain seated while the vehicle is in motion and no leaning out of the vehicle is allowed.

Normally the most rewarding time for gameviewing is early morning especially in the summer heat. Some of the nocturnal animals may still be active and as it gets hotter animals move into deep shade to avoid overheating.

The winter months of June , July , August and September are some of the best times of the year for gameviewing as the grass and foliage is not as thick and many of the animals are close to the bigger rivers and waterholes as the smaller pans have dried up.

However for baby animals and birdwatching the wetter summer months of December , January and February are more rewarding.

Kruger National Park is a malaria area so please consult with your local GP for advice before you travel to the area.
